    Starter motor

I've just acquired this wee beauty & the previous owner said its decided not to start as in starter motor not firing. I tried it as well & all I was getting is the click of low power in the battery.
My question is have any of you fitted the hard drive direct starter switch, is it a viable option or a handy failsafe?
I'm weighing up the opinions prior to getting to work on it. If it is the solenoid it would be reasonably cheap part to replace but I've seen on tutorials that the handle bar starter switch can become a nightmare & cause the same click click problem? My priority is getting the engine to crank over then take it from there?
    Battery is on charge.

Get a remote starter switch. It's like 10 bucks at harbor freight. You connect it to both poles on the solenoid. If it starts it's the switch. If not the solenoid or starter itself. Good luck.
