    Why the Comeback

Why do you think motorcycles are making a comeback? Is it the price? Is is that they are easier to maintain? Or is it just the appearance?

I actually believe that motorcycles will never fade out completely. There is something about bike riding that you can never achieve elsewhere. There is also a trend where better equipped and powerful bikes are being introduced.

Perhaps the motorcycle manufacturers have invested in years of research and development and powerful bikes are being re-introduced into the roads. I think riders are buying into this idea.

Also, it's the Sexy! I don't know about you, but you just don't look as good in a car as you do on your bike. And the freedom it brings you, you can't get anywhere else. That's never going to go out of fashion.

I agree with you all. It's everything put together that keeps motorcycles in fashion. From the powerful engines that they are coming out with and the fact that they give people something that cars and other forms of transport never will.

I don't think it's really a comeback but more of a growing industry. There are more bikes on the road today then I ever remember since I started riding 18 years ago, and my dad who's been riding for 40+ years notices the same. There is more availability now; more choice. Larger and varied model ranges from foreign manufactures has forced NA companies to expand their lines which then appeal to a wider variety of riders (or potential riders). Add to that it's way too easy to borrow money and you get more people on two wheels.

Plus it is a way cooler way to get around.
