So I purchased an 08 NightRod with 3k on it, All I have done is a K&N filter. I want to replace the exhaust very soon. I want it to be a little louder but not super aggressive, just not stock sounding. I mainly want to gain HP and torque, especially low end, it must be black though. Any recommendations for a good exhaust that fits my needs and where to buy for a reasonable price? I am new to working on bikes but want to do this one myself. Any tips / advice?

Check out the Bassani Road Rage 2-into-1 Exhaust System its a solid system.. a buddy is using it on his vrod.

Have you decided yet? Check out Harley-Davidson Exhaust Pipes | J&P Cycles (http://www.jpcycles.com/harley-exhaust-pipes) and use their contact form. They can get you set up with a full kit. Vance & Hines have a great set up for your bike.

I know this is an old post but the site recommended by Greg is really good. I will be checking frequently to see anything I may need. I do not trust myself so much with fixing things at first on my own; I'd rather let a mech do it and teach me as well.
