Found this in an old barn on our property. I am trying to find out its year and have only been able to locate this number.

I believe it may be from the 40's. If this number is not of value where would i find the part #.

That is probably a casting number. I am not sure if the MOCO put identifing numbers on a fork that old. If they put a number on it, it will be a stamped number on the bottom of the rear tree.
